Initial test of hit and miss ice cream maker rig. Obviously, needs a different belt on the final drive. I used one I had that was too long and wired a loop into it to make do until I can get the right belt. Everything seems to work OK, though! The engine is a 1916 1.5HP Fairbanks-Morse Headless Z, and the ice cream churn is a 6 quart White Mountain from some time in the 1950s, best guess.

I finished getting my engine and ice cream maker put together for a show in a couple of weeks. Did a test run a few days ago with my Fairbanks Headless Z and an overly long belt, but it demonstrated that things were in working order despite looking like it had a built-in rotating cat snare. I was waiting on some parts to finish the overhaul of my engine, and also needed a couple of things for the ice cream maker. I still have to trim off one shaft, but other than that, this thing is ready to churn out some nice, tasty, home made ice cream!
