I had both frozen yogurt and ice cream, and i think they taste pretty much the same. So What is the difference?

For 3 weeks I plan on staying in a motel room. The motel does not allow freezers or refridgerators in the rooms. Since I can’t eat out all the time I plan on having 2 coolers in the room. One with regular ice for milk, orange juice, lettice and cold cuts. I plan on having another cooler with dry ice in the motel room for ice cream, frozen pizza, waffles and tv dinners.

How often would I need to replace the dry ice in the cooler?

Homework assignment from a motion graphics class I took back in `06. The goal was to take digital pictures of someplace we were unfamiliar with, make a short animation out of what you saw and start playing with the multi-planing effect in After Effects. I came across an ice cream wholesaler near Rosemead, CA and proceeded to take pictures of the ice cream trucks and assorted goodies. The music is a funky 808 hand clapping techno version of the gospel standard “Bringing in the Sheaves”. I found a recording of it online after hearing an ice cream truck playing it one day at the Rose Bowl Swap Meet in Pasadena!

They are both set to 0 degrees F, but one of them makes ice cream so hard it bends my spoons, the other keeps the icream fresh. Suprisingly, the one that keeps it good is about 20 years old, while the one that doesn’t is about 1 year old. Any ideas? I hate keeping ice cream in the basement freezer, I have to run up and down the stairs.

I can tell temp by a digital display in the new one, and a mercury thermometer in the old one
